Less than a mile down the road is beautiful Lake Lure, where you can enjoy a "beach in the mountains".....swim, play volleyball or just "sun" on the beach. Take a boat ride on Lake Lure and see where the movie "Dirty Dancing" was filmed or maybe just explore in a paddle boat or canoe.
